Hi all. My husband immigrated here back in  2014. He has a green card. Our daughter (6yo) and I are USC. Can we move to the UK? I asked this a long time ago and got a great answer from someone but can’t find it. We are in the process or selling our house and was going to move to CA, but we are not seriously considering going to his home with his family.

You can move wherever you want to. However he will abandon his LPR status by moving overseas and that will require him to get s tourist visa or use VWP if eligible to visit the US

He will have to secure UK employment making at least £18,600 for 6 months to sponsor you before you can live in the UK on a spouse visa. Extra for the child if she is not a British citizen. There are some other options you can look up, but having a joint sponsor like his parent is not an option.

If you decide to come back to live in the US, you will have to start over on an IR1 visa and greencard for him. He is eligible for US citizenship right now. If he gets that, he can move back and forth with no immigration paperwork to do for  living in the US.

Thank you!  What if we have move than that in savings?  Honestly, we could prolly do this as he could live with his sister until we could apply, but if we can proved stable money prior could we apply without that condition?

There is a cash amount but more than £18600. Also there is something about if he gets a job in the same field he has held in the US, then no six month requirement. I don’t remember the specifics. I gave you a link where you can start digging out the details for yourself.

Completely false......100%. That, in itself, confers NO right of entry into the US.
