DS 260 employment question

My spouse is filling out her DS 260 (I am the USC). I am unemployed since late 2017 (went to live in India with wife which got extended due to Covid) and am currently looking for work. The "Spouse" section asks for my occupation, where my wife put "Not Employed". It is then asking for an Explanation. The field cannot be left blank, but it doesn't allow more than 70 or 75 characters. What exactly do I write here.. something like "Unemployed since xxx date, currently looking for employment", or something more explanatory?

Your simple explanation above will work just fine.

Thank you !

Came up with a question regarding my wife's education. She had an year long break between the first and second years of her 2 year master's degree, is it ok if I create two separate entries for the first and second years to ensure accuracy of dates and account for the year gap between the two?

Also during her bachelors degree she moved to a different college after her first year where she completed her 2nd and 3rd years. Again it seems appropriate for me to create separate entries for the two colleges that she attended, is this ok?
