From my times entering the US I presume this is an emphatic no, but as I’m listed on the visa I wonder if I’m allowed to accompany my fiancée through the immigrant/non-citizen line at customs?

As it’s likely a no, anyone with experience with what the customs process is like for the beneficiary is much appreciated. TIA!

At San Franciso port of entry, I went with my fiancee through the "non-US-citizen" area of immigration. We even went together when the agent called for the next in line. I just said something like "I'm a US citizen, she has a visa, I just want to make sure she gets where she needs to go". It was fine.

I entered through Honolulu and I went through the non-citizen line with my wife. They have 2 separate lines but allowed me to go with her.

Had no issues at LAX when my wife and I arrived at 7pm at night. I went thru with her in the Visitor line with no issues. Officer took a look at my passport ans scanned it, said oh, global entry, your done, welcome back, and then opened and went thru the packet with my wife while I stood there. Whole process was 15-20 minutes and we were thru and on the way to baggage claim quick and easy.

If your fiancé(e) is going to live with you and you have GE then to keep GE you absolutely must stay with your fiancé(e) at primary my inspection.  You did it right.

Didn't know it mattered,  granted I don't think leaving her at customs while I'll dipped thru quickly with GE would have been a good start to life together in the US..LOL.

IAD was a great experience.

What wonderful news -- congratulations, and now you can both happily relax!

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

To update:

IAD was a great experience. There was a worker right at the entrance to the customs lines, I explained the situation and she told both of us to go through the citizen queue. I was a bit surprised by that, but we both went through with no problem. Officer knew immediately what to do and sent us to secondary, everyone congratulated us on the K1 and we were out within 30 minutes.

Also, the attestation isn’t required anymore, and the Covid test wasn’t asked once. The testing facilities were absolutely empty at every airport I visited. Thank you for the responses here!

Thanks for coming back to update.

And good to hear your entry to the US was smooth. Congrats on that K1~

When I flew into Boston there was only one line. But this was before 2020...

Every time we flew into Boston there was a separate line, always before 2020. My husband is a citizen since 2017 so I didn't pay attention the last several times, including last month when we came in from Amman.. We always fly in and out if Boston because that's where we live.

OP has gone through the process and its all good~

Sooooo off topic, but I flew into Boston in 2018 and it was all the same line. I stated I was B2 visa and I had to scan my visa and passport bio page(on a self service machine) before going to chat to someone. All the same line and very different to Detroit.

In Detroit it has always been a very different line... the last time we flew to Detroit was 2020.
