I had my interview in Charlotte today… the officer couldn’t make a decision, and said I may get an N-14 in the mail or I might not. he had indicated there was too much in my file to make a decision on the spot, but didn’t explain any specifics… he did probe around one of my traffic tickets that was an open container violation (not a DUI) which I brought proof of payment for; also when I first visited the United States he asked what visa I had, which was over 15 years ago (pretty sure it was visa waiver).

Is it normal that you’re not given specifics? I’m reading some posts that suggest I should have pushed harder for a real explanation. This is so frustrating!

Thank you for your insight. I didn’t push for any further information, to be clear.

Happy to share that you were absolutely right - mine ended up getting approved on Friday, two days later. Oath scheduled for June 27 - thank you for your advice!
