After 485 days of waiting, we have finally gone from received to approved. I don’t have words for either the stress I felt or the relief I feel now.

Congrats🥰 FINALLY❤️

Quick update from us. She successfully completed the medical and got her packet on 4 Oct. I am with her on Manila now, today is Sunday the 15th. Her interview is on Tuesday at 9:30. Almost to the finish line.

Update. Interview this morning. She was in the embassy almost exactly 4 hours. The actual interview portion consisted only of questions about my prior marriages. Their names. Why they ended. Other details. After she answered as well as she could, she was told that she was approved and they herded her out the door. They didn’t ask to see anything else from her. She worked so hard on her relationship presentation, she was a bit disappointed they didn’t ask to see it.

But whatever. She was approved. They said 1-2 weeks to get her passport, which seems a bit long. We hope it doesn’t take that long.

They kept a few original documents from her. So you know of they are returned with the passport?

My fiancé says she remembers there being a GCash option? Sorry, that may not be much help.

Yes. Detroit was our point of entry. Very smooth interaction with immigration, lasted maybe 90 secs.

We are home fighting the jet lag, but happy. Now time to plan and execute the wedding.
