Another source puts the number at about 299 for Thursday July 13th

What other source? Anyway this update was only for june 2022 petitions. USCIS is working on multiple months, in fact most approvals were from July not June.

In other words June filers, especially my range 97000, are screwed.

In a less selfish note, I feel for May, April, and beyond filers, those of them that are still waiting!

97000 looked like it was finally getting some love at the beginning of the week. And now we're back to nothing.

Would be great to get some transparency on how cases are actually prioritized, but everything with the US government is a convoluted black box.

I totally feel for you, cant imagine how anxious you must be. I would try and stay strong... any day could be your day now, if you can wait one more week maybe you will hear some news. After they go past the 80% I don't think it would hurt to reach out to your senator. Thats the only thing I can imagine would help. So sorry for you but any day you will hear some news, I'm sure! Stay strong, stay positive, you're nearing the finish line.

June has 23% unotuched cases yet and Im one of them...Im honestly scared of being so unlucky to be waiting way way longer...383 days right now :( seeing they processed all those cases around mine but not my case makes me scared

I agree with James @Elays. I would maybe try and contact your Senator and/or Congressman/woman to see if they can assist. USCIS is so random with how they choose what cases to process that I feel like there is no rhyme or reason. I was hoping this update from

you was going to say your case was finally approved.

Wishing you the best!

Sadly congressman cannot do anything until closer to my inquiry date (January 2024) I hope I don't need to wait that long :(

Even some May filers still getting approved right now so I hope I get news before September🥺

fully understand you being your head, anyone would be but no I don't think you need to worry. They run basic security checks on beneficiary and petitioner and this can vary a lot between cases. This doesn't mean there's anything wrong or complicated about your case, it's probably run by another government agency and it's just some cases take longer than others for no clear reason. My job requires everyone has this check run to enter the building and the time varies a lot between people, slower clearances have never been a sign of an issue, just bureaucracy.

Could also be as simple as somehow a diff agent has your case to your case neighbours. Lots of things could cause it to be 'slower' that are just total dumb reasons and not a sign of anything! You can't judge your case on your case neighbours sadly, there is some randomness to it. We're rooting for you!!

My bf (petitioner) has 2 cases (a DUI and a dismissed case-nothing bad, just to clarify lol-), one from 14 years ago and the another one 10 years ago....I have been thinking that may could be the reason my case is taking longer (we included his DOJ criminal background with the petition so they could see everything)...but some June filers also have criminal background and they already got approved....so Idk what can be happening with my case

Everything is getting pretty hard for me mentally by this point

After 4 years of long distance relationship I just want to have my own life with my bf
