Hopefully I also get approved soon... waiting for USCIS to review my RFE is making me crazy🥺

I'm sure you'll get it soon. Might take it a littler longer but I'm going to give it 2 weeks max and you'll have your approval.

You know it does feel your got your RFEl way before us, makes me glad we got the approval right away and not an RFE although I'm not sure what would they RFE us for. I used to be like I don't care if it's an RFE, I just want to see movement. Now that I think about it an RFE can easily add a month to the process which sucks.

Hang in there!

I'm second guessing everything I did now. Maybe I frontloaded too much evidence of relationship and no one wants to pick up my file? Or maybe I shouldn't have mentioned the accidental bounced check for groceries when I was in my early 20s. Or the false allegations made against me during my child custody battle in the early 90's that were swiftly debunked in family court. Or a traffic citation I got in my early 20s too. I did online searches for any court records in every single county I've ever lived in since I was 18 years old and never found anything but I wanted to be open and honest in case there was something I couldn't find and now maybe my honesty is going to burn me. Could they be doing their own background checks? and that is delaying everything? I even paid to have a federal background check done and that didn't have anything either. Maybe I should've just kept my mouth shut if I couldn't find any records on myself, but I was afraid maybe they would find something and think I was being dishonest so I thought of every single instance in my life that I could remember ever having to talk to police or a court of any kind. UGH! This is so stressful. What's worse is that I'm afraid they will send me after records that don't even exist because of it as well. I'm driving myself crazy, haha

You're overthinking it. I was in your situation a couple of weeks ago, I know the pain.

I've said this before and I don't want to bore you, but here's my theory. USCIS just doesn't have a good process in place so it's not FIFO, has never been, just random. Don't assume petitions that are taking longer to process have issues, not true at all.

Don't think just because your petition took longer than others you have issues. I've seen petitions with issues get processed way before mine even though they were filed after me.

Trust me, nothing you said above will disqualify you, at worst you'll get an RFE. Hang in there!

I’ve been following your updates on this thread daily for…months now. I know the frustration, our NOA 1 is June 8th and we’re still sitting at “Case Received”.

I had an arrest(charges dropped) from when I was a teenager back in the late 2000s that was sealed, fearing an RFE we did get a lawyer to get the sealed documents from the court to send with our initial packet. I’m still worried we’ll get an RFE for something even after 14.5 months with no updates.

this system is neither fair nor equitable, and the lack of accountability and transparency of uscis is phenomenally heart wrench for those of us getting left behind and separated from our loved ones

received their case number

you'd better find a group july-nvc-consulate (something like this). in this group will soon be only those who do not have noa2

I think 99% will approve of you. As far as I understand, criminal RFEs are very frequent and well approved. You must think that everything will be fine with you, because my situation is non-standard and the probability of denial is much higher. and when you think that everything is bad with you, then my chances become much lower. so let's hope and not think about the bad.
