Schedule an info pass at nearest immigration office and get i 551 stamp on visa

How do I get a temporary I-551 stamp?

In order to obtain the I-551 Temporary Evidence Stamp, you will need to call USCIS at 1-800-375-5283 to schedule an InfoPass appointment with your local USCIS field office.

What Is a Temporary Stamp?

I-551 temporary evidence stamps are offered to prove someone has permanent resident status while they wait for their new green card

You must contact your local DMV.  Individual state laws dictate DL renewals.

I doubt USCIS will grant an info pass stamp appointment for any conditional LPR who has a gc and is not on month 23 or later of the extension letter.

The REAL ID Act allows DMVs to grant drivers licenses to conditional LPRs who have extension letters.  Whether the IL dmv complies or not I’ve no idea. Back in the 1980s it rejected my green card.
