If the letter extends the validity of your green card for two years, then it obviously extends the expiration date written on the card….

Just because it’s on Facebook, it doesn’t mean it’s genuine. And even if it is, the person might be posting pieces of their story. Maybe they had a rocky AOS, who knows?!

If you don’t have anything to hide, then going to secondary doesn’t mean much. It’s just extra time that you have to spend at the airport. Leave some extra time if you need to catch a connecting flight, that’s all.

Someone posted the exact original comment as is in this thread  and attached the video of some woman who said "We have heard.........."

I’m sorry, but no, they can’t “do what they want”. I just slept a good nine hours and re read this thread.

Please stop spreading unnecessary fear and stress. CBP is by no means entitled to do what they want. At most, what they can do is to ASK that you VOLUNTARILY give up your resident status by signing form I-407, which, of course, no one should do in this situation.

Understand this: neither USCIS not CBP can do what they want in terms of immigration. Only an immigration judge can order your status to be terminated.

Please, I don’t want to sound condescending, and I apologize in advance if I do. But it is very, VERY important to know your rights before you post something like this.
