AR-11, just got married

I got into a trick question while i was filling online AR-11. We just got married yesterday so my last name should be his last name as i signed yesterday in the paper, or my midden name? Will the A number be enough to recognize me for inmmigration?

Yes A# is your Alien Registration Number, and should be sufficient to update your file with USCIS.

Might I ask why are you filing the AR-11? Have you moved?

You should be filling out your I-485 and associated forms and can put whatever name you wish to use legally on then.

We moved this saturday from Houston to Broken Arrow.

We dont have now any petition pending, we havent applied yet to the adjustment of status (we just got married yesterday), I am the alien here.

Unless you have changed addresses there really isnt any need to file the AR-11. Just wait until you file AOS and then use whatever name you plan on using then.

Yes, we just change the address.

I made the form AR-11 electronically, (i had to do twice since the computer fail to do the pdf document) and I called USCIS but they told me that since i had no applications pending that will be enough.
