K1 Updates - Expedites

Hello! Few questions: if you can answer some I would really appreciate it.

What’s the current wait time?

Does Genocide count as grounds to expedite case?

Would school visa be ethical in the mean time while waiting for K1?

Anyone have actual data or links that show if the backlogs will get better or worse?

Just trying to consider life changes. I work from home. Considering working at my beneficiary’s place as a plan G, H, I, J…

Yea, it’s “unethical” to use a student visa with the intent of marrying and staying. It’s called fraud.
Same as using a genocide to come to the US.
Working from home has no bearing in this situation. In fact, once your K1 is approved, until you either get your green card or EAD in the US, you will not be allowed to work at all. If working was a priority, then you should have gone the CR1 route.

Now it’s all a waiting game. That’s all you can do.

You just filed in February.  Each individual case varies, but plan on at least 8 months, up to a year, for the I-129F petition to be adjudicated.  Then the case enters the queue for an interview at the foreign embassy/consulate, and the time for this stage varies widely depending on the backlog.  For some countries, that stage can be a year or more.  So plan on two years, then you'll be pleasantly surprised if it goes faster than that.  It's a long frustrating process.  Patience is your friend.  Your USC fiancé/fiancée can visit you as often as possible in Kenya, or move to live with you while waiting.

Genocide where? In Kenya? If so, forget about it. There's none that I've heard of. And if you try this, know the embassy also know things on the ground. They will ask you to supply the proof.

F-1 timeframe is long gone. You cannot get one at this point to make it to school in August.

Just wait it out for your K-1. There's no shortcut and don't try any of those "Kenyan" advices as shortcut. You'll end up scoring an own goal.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

Are u the USC or beneficary?

u say " I work from home. Considering working at my beneficiary’s place as a plan" which would indicate u r USC , the petitioner

why would u consider living there is u think there is genocide?

Expedite cases are usually for hardships to USC not the intending immigrant

The immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and money....especially PATIENCE!

Just to add, the last genocide in East Africa was in 1994, and that was Rwanda.

None has happened ever since. So, if Kenya was your country, or any in East Africa, which now includes DRC, just know that "genocide" won't fly past USE Nairobi. Infact, they'll be so intrigued as to have you supply that evidence. They'll be eagerly waiting for you, with their 🍿.

Just a couple of months into this process, and you’re already trying to manufacture a ‘reason’ for an expedite?

You have a long road ahead.   You may well want to consider moving there if you cannot wait another year+.
