I would suggest that you take your time to get married so it doesn't look like she obtained a tourist visa to avoid the immigration system. Six months wait seems reasonable. Humanly speaking though, speaking as one who is twice divorced, it's never a good thing to rush into marriage! Good luck.

You're getting some shady advice on your question. If your girlfriend comes to the US on a tourist visa with intent to get married, that is immigration fraud. Virtual weddings are also questionable. Check your local laws as most states will not recognize a marriage where both parties were not physically present. Immigration will also question this.

What you want to do is apply for the K-1 Visa, which is a fiance visa and allows her to come to the US legally, you two marry and she will adjust her status here in the US. 

Make sure she brings all her documents like birth certificate.

Also.. If she's travelled on vacation with documents like a birth cerificate etc etc, surely that shows intent to immigrate.
