So I was not sure if I should post here or under bringing family member of  permanent resident. I posted here because of the fact that there are documents that are needed and only for the Philippines. I figured the people here have better understanding on which document exactly does the NVC needs..

Please help! So my mom received an email from NVC yesterday. I logged in today and had all these docs rejection. It basically says for each to replace with an acceptable documents from a correct issuing authority. Im not sure what exactly they mean. No specific of which exactly do they need. Like for instance, it did say to submit police certificate and they rejected the one my mom submitted. Even my I-864a and birth certificate as prove we are mom and daughter. What should I do?

for tax return and I864A it was saying “We are unable to accept these documents as uploaded. Please add Katherine as a household member under Nora. All documents for Katherine should be submitted under their own name.

I really would appreciate your prompt response. Thank you!

reason for rejection is listed on right side but i would say at this stage 2021 tax returns are needed and u submitted 2020

I have not filed my tax when it was submitted that is why I uploaded 2020. All it says on the note are “we are unable to accept These documents as uploaded. Please add Katherine as a Household member under Nora” except for the BC saying “please replace this with an acceptable birth certificate from a correct issuing authority” that BC was a Philippine document. I am the household member on i-864a with my own form and name and my mom is the sponsor. I just don’t know what was done wrong.

note: make sure that they are from the right agency for example her birth certificate comes from PSA and printed on PSA Security paper, make sure that you scan documents the are in acceptable file format, not more than 2MB, if multiple pages like the affidavit of support, scan and make sure that it is in one file and if more than 2 MB compressed the file.

I believe this is the issue.  Per your posts from March, you are not listed as a dependent on your mom's tax return.  Therefore, you are not in her "household" and therefore cannot use the I-864a as a contributing household member.  You will need to file as a joint sponsor (I-864) and have your husband be a contributing member (I-864a).

if it was past the april due date for 2021 tax returns ,  that may have been what is needed /  sometimes this depends on the officer viewing the documents

also this statement  "We are unable to accept these documents as uploaded"   could mean the documents are not readable or clear which it should state but some officers are poorly trained

The police clearance = NBI ? or .. ?    All birth documents were from PSA?    The tax document was a transcript from the IRS?   The I-864A was the current version?    Proof of citizenship, did you use a copy of your U.S. passport page ... or ?  .. and for your mom a copy of her green card?

Other thought if all documents were correct, are the scans clear or complete .. or there is a glitch at NVC end.

Best suggestion is to contact NVC, call during business hours (east coast)   or email
