My wife submitted her I693 prior to entering the US on a K1 visa in May 2021.  We have the green card interview for AOS in two weeks and aren’t sure if she is required to get the covid 19 vaccine as it wasn’t required for the medical exam prior to October 2021?

I don't think COVID test is mandatory..I stand corrected.

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

USCIS had announced that effective October 1, 2021, the COVID-19 vaccine was a required vaccine for all individuals applying for lawful permanent residency in the United States. This included individuals applying for adjustment of status before USCIS and individuals applying for immigrant visas at U.S. Consulates abroad.

So it seemed that someone who already applied for the green card before October 1, 2021, would not be required to have the vaccination as long as he had unexpired medical exam results that were complete at the time of the medical exam.

USCIS also says that regarding form I-693, an I-693 signed on or after Oct 1, 2021 would have to include the Covid vaccination.

This would seem as well that someone who completed his medical exam prior to the effective date would not have been required to have Covid-19 vaccination.
