Paying for these things for a fiance can backfire actually.....common tactic by GC scammers....

GC? Not hip to all the lingo yet lol. But I mean I pay the stuff because it’s cheap for me to do so and where she is at the pay her very poorly and harass her. So it’s just to make her life easier. Plus WiFi is way cheaper than constantly getting  data for her phone. It was the bad lawyer that said it would help look like I’m not getting paid to marry her if I’m paying her. I’m not paying her because of that I send money to help either way. But showing it as evidence was lawyers idea.

Scammers often try to get money from USCs, in addition to GCs (green cards).

Not at all suggesting she is doing this, but here at VJ we have seen people who have gotten scrutiny during the immigration process when the couple is not yet married and the USC is supporting the beneficiary.

Ah so probably best we don’t use them receipts  as evidence?  I mean it was my idea to help and she tells me She can go back to work all the time otherwise if it was her idea I would not be doing it lol. But her jobs there is lucky to pay what is 60 dollars a week here so yeah really don’t mind helping. beating that pay is easy lol plus with out the Wi-Fi we would barely get to talk so I pay that rather she work or not because of that. but I get the point. I was thinking it makes it look like I’m not the American getting paid for Fake marriage but instead it makes me look like the sucker American getting used lol so that as evidence seems kinda loose loose type of deal.

And I know some of her family here. I did not just randomly meet her online or something sketchy like that. idk guess it’s just not a good evidence idea after all

You don't need to mail CR-1 packet. You can file it online and get receipt within 24 hours. Same receipt will come to your mailbox @khahlh93

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

You have repeated this statement twice 😁. When you’re filling out forms please be more precise and accurate lol. Aside from that I agree with all the advice you’ve getting.

Good luck 🍀!

Just another random guy from the internet with an opinion, although usually backed by data!

This is a DIY site, most here have done it with no issues whatsoever. I'm one of those people. In my opinion, an attorney is a waste of money plus time and again we see people on this site who have hired lawyers who totally screwed up their cases.

Best advice is to go back to Mexico, get married, then file I-130 online as soon as you have the marriage certificate.  In addition to the big advantage that she will be able to work and leave the US immediately after entering as a legal permanent resident, the other important advantage in your case is that the I-130 petition does not ask about your criminal history at all, while the I-129F petition for a fiancé visa does.  You do not need your criminal history documents to file the I-130 petition.  Here is the form, check for yourself:

https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/document/forms/i-130.pdf

K-1 takes almost as much time as a CR-1 these days.  We see many posts and comments here every week from K-1 petitioners and beneficiaries who regret choosing K-1.  Some even give up on K-1, get married, and file CR-1, months after waiting and realizing it is not faster.  Plan on 1-2 years either path you choose.  Good luck!

I-130 is different than CR-1? I already gave up on the K-1 I need no more convincing on that lol

File I-130.

Get petition approved.

Your wife will apply for the CR1 visa.( 2year conditional GC)-------> complete Ds260/ you fill out I-864.

Some I-130s take a year to approval then Mexico is a little backlogged so she might enter the US on IR1 (10 year GC)

You can see VJ user generated information...

K1 timelines for Mexico

CR1/IR1 timelines for Mexico.

ETA filing I-129F is for K1

Filing I-130 is for IR1/CR1
