I've still never seen any information on how this teen from a poor family with previous troubles with the law was able to afford nearly $5,000 worth of armament.  And while two rifles are mentioned, only the DD AR-15 has been described in detail.  Why not the other rifle?  And where did the money come from?

He was living with his Granny and working fast food, they are paying 20 an hour near me so quite possible if he was living free.

Yeah, I guess taking home $1800 a month, rent free, and not going to school, he COULD have saved it up.

The other rifle probably wasn’t a scary AR-15.

They both were.  Not sure why there was SO MUCH detail released about the DD Ar-15, but zilch about the other one. It appeared to be a standard-issue M-16 clone.

Maybe the other was a no name and it was better to try to damage DD reputation. I wouldn’t be surprised.

Considering this low life was already an active shooter before he entered the school, this hesitation cost the most.

 

a Uvalde PD officer reported that he was at the crash site and observed the suspect carrying a rifle prior to the suspect entering the west hall exterior door. The UPD officer was armed with a rifle and sighted in to shoot the attacker; however, he asked his supervisor for permission to shoot. The UPD officer did not hear a response and turned to get confirmation from his supervisor. When he turned back to address the suspect, the suspect had already entered the west hall exterior door at 11:33:00.

How long did he turn towards his supervisor?  3 minutes?  The vehicle was crashed about 11:27.  Thug shot at two witnesses at the funeral home at 11:28.  Thug enters school at 11:33.

 

Smells like more patis to me.

For one thing, the officer was beyond training range with uncertainty as to where a missed shot would hit.

Technically, the officer was beyond the max range capability of the gun he had.  He never had a shot, unless he was at the scene of the accident within 60 seconds of the perp getting out of the vehicle.
