Husband and I had the interview today at field office in Houston. He took our IRS joint filing and tax return, joint lease, joint car insurance. At the end of the 15 minute interview, he proceeded to give us marriage advice and said that our card will be delivered in 2-3 weeks. He also explained that it is conditional and we would need to remove conditions since we're under 2 years of marriage. He also went on about how hubby could apply for citizenship in 3 years. So we thought we were approved. Then he gave us the results of the interview:

He gave us the interview results that say:

Your case is being held for review. At this time USCIS does not require further evidence or documents from you. Should further information or documents be required, you will receive a notice in the mail. We may also schedule you for another interview, you will receive a notice in the mail. Otherwise, a final decision will be mailed once your case is complete.

Anyone have insight? Are there no direct approvals for under 2 years of marriage?

Thanks

Kierra

Sounds normal.  I would think that a review of a recommendation is normal.  That is a generic status.

Are you referring to status on the USICIS website?

TIA

Yes

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

That is normal.   AOS is not approved “on the spot” these days.

Husband’s interview was 1/30/20, and the card was produced on 2/25/20.

The USCIS account status message about being in review did not change until that date.   Waiting is hard, but we’ve all been there.

Sounds normal, we too did our interview in Houston.  The interview is just a step in the process, there is always the administrative review following the interview.

How long did it take for them to give you an answer and produce your card after the interview?

We had an unplanned RFI to deal with.  Seems our medical records from Philippine's SLEC were incomplete so we had to do another I-693.  All was resolved in a little over a month and we now have the conditional Green Card.

wow! we got a notice yesterday saying husband was approved, the day after the interview!

Thanks all!

Hello, Did you get an email?  How did you get the notice? We also had an interview today that went well but we got the same “review” statement as you.  Just curious how long it will take.  Thanks.
