Case Last Updated Date Changing without Status change

Hi! My case changed to the status "Ready" on 05/11, and I scheduled my interview and doctor. After that, I decided to ask the Consulate to confirm that they have my case there. They replied 3 business days later saying they received my case electronically, but were waiting for my file to arrive at their office, and hopefully I'd be able to maintain the date I scheduled my interview on.

Now I keep consulting my case on the CEAC's website  every day just to be sure it's still with the "ready" status, and am waiting for the Consulate to tell me that my file is in their office.

Until monday, it was saying that the date that my case was "last updated" was 11-May (the same day it changed from In transit to Ready), but now that date changed to 25-May. Does anyone know what this updating date change means? Maybe they're reviewing my case at the Consulate?

Thank you.

From my experience, the "latest update" date on CEAC tracker "Ready" changed a few times for us. I think once was when my fiancée went for the medical exam. I believe the doctor updated their information to the system, and somehow the medical information system is integrated with the CEAC tracker and updates the "latest update" date. Another time could be the consulate updating information on your case. Honestly, I don't know exactly why the "latest update" date changes. But the fact that it gets updated shows progress on your case and that's a good thing.
