Have you emailed Ankara directly ( see above link for translator specific inquiries) and they told you “ certified translator “?  That term refers to documents/ papers . I am under the impression they just have the translator sign an affidavit.

I would email the embassy and confirm who you are sending as translator OR tell them you are flying there yourself to translate and make sure her interview is not delayed/ rescheduled.

The link below is a quick internet search of what appears to be translators in/ near Ankara

This is what i got from them

Dear Sir/Madam,

We would like to inform you that the U.S. Embassy in Ankara provides services in Turkish, Farsi, and English.  You can bring a certified translator and send a copy of the translator's identity card and certification to AnkaraIV@state.gov before the interview. If you fail to bring a certified translator and/or notify us in advance of the certified translator's information, we are unable to conduct the interview and you have to reschedule a new appointment through our service provider's website.

Sincerely,

Immigrant Visa Unit

U.S. Embassy Ankara, Turkey

Thank you for that. The easiest way to clarify is to email them again/repeatedly: ASK

1. IF Ankara will make exceptions given the  that you cannot find a certified Kurdish translator to attend in person

2. Will they allow you to provide  for a telephonic appearance by translator

3. Will they allow you, to attend and translate

4. Ask them to provide you with list/resource for available/acceptable Kurdish translators

••Some consulates do make exceptions for extenuating circumstances, but as you see you have to get it cleared ahead of schedule

Have you tried emailing/calling from the link I sent you? That seems to be a list of certified translators working with the UK embassy, so you may get lucky.

I would also try looking at Facebook groups , here’s a first Google result for multinational services ( telephone/ in person) https://www.helloglobo.com/quickstart?utm_source=adwords&utm_medium=ppc&utm_campaign=Quickstart&utm_term=translator services&hsa_tgt=kwd-139631305&hsa_grp=137517088489&hsa_mt=p&hsa_cam=16628643016&hsa_ver=3&hsa_src=g&hsa_net=adwords&hsa_kw=translator services&hsa_acc=7385231182&hsa_ad=589033425749&gclid=Cj0KCQjwvqeUBhCBARIsAOdt45Z_sz8noErrP4OM20zTOJgT19kYzILmsh5YEGrWTsAn9_xi5rEF_04aAv8jEALw_wcB

My Iraqi fiancé interviewed in Ankara in January and used a referral and he is awesome! He has all the required paperwork and has dealt with Ankara embassy. I emailed his certification and few details to embassy prior to interview. Look for  Omer Ejder on Facebook.

HI I did request for a transfer and expedited for an emergency situation it got approved in less then 10 days. you can always request for transfer or expedite but you have to have a valid reason.  my case was in Qatar at first.
