I fly through Chicago all the time.  You have to pick up your luggage after leaving immigration and take it to American for next flight.

Normally, but they went to check and American Airlines thought he was already on his flight and checked it for him. People make mistakes and don’t follow the rules, it happens.

Have you heard what happened?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Has he made it back to Nigeria yet?

"You nag more than you should" doesn't sound at all like something CBP would ever say, lol.

OP didn’t say CBP said that. It’s her expressing regret for nagging her fiancé and saying things she didn’t mean on WhatsApp.

Regardless, fake or not, sounds like a toxic relationship, and probably wouldn’t make for the best marriage…

I'm not convinced it was actually CBP that called.

People with passport from certain countries and with valid visas to US, Australia and Canada (and I think Schengen visa), do not need transit visas at heathrow. Someone with Nigerian passport with no valid visas to said countries would need it.

Maybe OP should ask him for CBP annotation on his PP because I'm sure something was written on it.

Additionally, OP can call embassy and be like "why was my K-1 denied entry?" I'm think embassy can get you an answer right off the bat because it's already in the system.

Armed with this information, OP can then call beneficiary and ask his side to see if they match.

She can ask her senator/congress person to make an inquiry at the Lagos Consulate. It's a 50/50 chance for  Lagos to reply to petitioner emails but they always reply to emails from senator/congress person.
