Passport photo validity

Hello all,

 

How long is picture validity for passport photos (6 for forms 1-485, I-765 & I-130). Does it have to be same set of pictures for each form? I have my pictures from 3 months ago (k1 visa visa) can i use these picture or do i need to get new passport pictures for these forms? Thank you all

I think photos within 6 months is fine...unless your appearance has significantly changed.

You should be ok, most countries, including the US for passports and forms want photos taken within 6 months of the application or petition. you should be fine. I have never seen this strictly enforced personally, maybe others have, as long as they are current, and not over a year old, you should be fine. I carry passport photos with me everywhere I travel ( Never know when you might need them for a visa at the last min. or something), and even a year old I haven't had issues using them.

Instructions usually say 6 months but as long as you appearance is the same, it does not matter.

 

Just don't use the same photo that is used on a document that can show when the photo was taken.

 

Like using the same photo as the one on your passport and you passport was issued over 6 months ago.
