I'm sorry but it sounds like your husband is not telling you the whole story.

A few years ago, I attended a karate camp in Barbados... A few of us decided to go to a popular bar. Well, a fight broke out between two guys... I had no idea of whom they were... But by coincidence I ended up in between them. Without a little skill I would have been hit in the face with a bottle... Self defense classes don't hurt!!!

It also helps to pay attention to what's going on around you. Of course, this advise is coming a little bit too late!!!

Us readers don't know the whole story either.

I think I will imagine the attacker as having one of those pincher hook arms hanging onto a piece of glass that has a rusty screw through it.

Although maybe thats going to far that might have split him in two.

Seriously though, it is unfortunate but those who have said that it can happen anywhere are correct, however I remember my first trip to the Philippines.

My first night I drank some Soya milk that left me in the CR(lavatory/bathroom) all night. At one point I awoke in a delirium to some man I haven't met yet sitting next to my bed cleaning a pistol. I actually did think to myself "WHAT AM I DOING HERE". But suffering from the worst case of diarrhea while some strange man cleans a gun at your beside and in the background geckos are dancing on the walls to the sounds of ocean, well this could happen anywhere right?

Turns out it was My fiances brother who is in the military who was sent to keep an eye on me. I am now very good friends with him, and have returned to the Philippines 5 other times since.

In the moment, you do think, "what the hell am I doing here" But it should pass, unless he gets beaten up every week, then Maybe he should worry.

sister mags,...after i was laid out with 1 punch..I heard in a femine voice .. asked the others" who wants to take a round with the champ?' I found out later, it was my Zuni girlfriend, Fay..who dropped me for looking at another girl...damn, she could punch...

Had a GF from the Jemez Pueblo once for a short time. It was a short time because I think I would have ended up dead if I stayed w/ her. She was a beautiful girl but she was on of the most jealous girls I ever met. And If I looked at another girl even for a fraction of a second, she would want to Kick my A$$ and the other girl too. So even saying hi to someone else was out of the question.
