Sound like Dallas USCIS office is as bad as the one here in Houston

Even without Covid, they were the slowest.

Is anyone else (I am sure there is, just feels lonely) been waiting 2 years for the I 751?  Our filing was May 26, 2020, Biometrics completed on December 11, 2020 then nothing but crickets for the last 17 months.

Really caused an issue when we tried to buy a new home and the underwriter has basically accused us of lying since she "got her I 751 in 3 months...."

Just looking for someone to tell us they are still out there hanging in limbo too.

We fully expect to wait at least two years.  Sent our packet Nov/Dec of 2021, and on 12/29 got a message that fingerprints are being reused.  Published average processing time for I-751 at NSC is 27 months.

As I have stated before, USCIS needs to just eliminated the I-751 completely.

How close are you to doing a writ of mandemus?

Especially seeing other people get the ROC so fast just because they got theirs through AOS from a fiancee visa or a tourist visa inside the states

I was ROC’ing after AOS’ing inside the US, waited 2 years and had to reach out to my senator to get help.

I don’t think there’s any correlation.

When I was waiting for AOS - plenty of folks got approved in 3-4 months while my case took a little over a year (that was unusually long back in 2016).

Not sure why you think it is faster for those removing conditions from a GC obtained through a fiancee visa.  Like I said, we fully expect to wait two years for ours, as that is how long it takes to process I-751s in Nebraska, regardless of the original visa type.

Oh, and it's a good thing you didn't bring her over on a B visa to adjust status -  that is FRAUD, and precisely why people are denied B visas.

What would be the point of shelling out $5-10k for that?  C. Cat's wife is here legally with no issues.  Not worth $10k when it doesn't make you "more legal" or confer any additional rights whatsoever.

I am in another group on Facebook called I-751 Removal of Conditions and everybody that has been getting approved for their ROC 6 months or less are all people that came in as either a fiancee or tourist visa then adjusted status here.  Everyone in the group that is struggling to ROC are people that did their CR1 consular through places like Juarez, Rio, Vietnam and Philippines.  There are people in that group that waited longer than CrazyCat.  2 months ago their was a lady that finally got her ROC done after she had applied to remove them in 2018.  She was consular CR1 and still married.

My wife filed the I-751 in January 2020 and the N-400 in December 2020. She recently passed the N-400 interview but the I-751 is still pending even though the officer stated that it would get approved that same day.

In hindsight, we should have waited a few months after the I-130 was approved before moving on to the NVC stage. That way, she would have entered the U.S. after 2 years of marriage and with a permanent green card.

That was our original goal when i was overseas with her.  But we just couldn't stand one more second living on the US/Mexican border so we applied as fast as we could at the time.  Now we are stuck in the ROC blackhole for two years now.  I just helped my spouse file for the US citizenship on the 3 year rule.  So we will see if that triggers USCIS to finally get working on our ROC.

I called USCIS again and was advised that a Tier 2 agent would be calling me back by June 9th.

I am just amazed at how clueless many of the agents are.

I submitted my I751 in September 2020, had my biometrics taken in July 2021, my status changed to “ready to schedule interview” in September 2021,  and got a 24 month extension in January 2022.
It will be 2 years in September and nothing. I’m worried too.

I’m sorry about the underwriter, that was complete out of place.
