Hi guys! So I filed I-130 and I-485 at the same time for my parents since they’re already in the US (entered legally via tourist visa). I filed in November 2021. They already did their biometrics around December. Until now, we haven’t heard any updates on the petition. Can anyone here share their timeline? How long did it take for your petitions to get approved? We submitted the I-485 to Phoenix. Thanks in advance!

Family based i485 applications at Phoenix are generally taking about a year https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

You don’t mention what service center the i130 is at but depending which one, for IR5 the range is 5-14.5 months

You’re lucky, the processing times have improved quite significantly since the worst of the pandemic.

~~ Topic moved from Bringing Family Members of US citizens to Adjustment of status work/student/tourist visas as this is AOS case, not consulate processing ~~

Processing times are dependent on your local field office. Looks like a 12 month wait for the Phoenix LFO.

Thanks! I filed I-130 online but I guess it’s Nebraska service center.

They did biometrics in December. Until now, there’s no update. Website says I-130 processing time is 6 months while I-485 is 12months. But haven’t heard anything on the I-130. Any thoughts? Thank you!
