Been lurking this forum for a few weeks, thought I ought to post.

I-130 online filing.

2022/FEB/05 : RD to TSC

2022/FEB/05 : AR

2022/JUL/16 : uploaded unsolicited evidence

2022/JUL/19 : uploaded more unsolicited evidence

The unsolicited evidence was copies, photos, and screenshots of some of our handwritten letters, chats, and photos of us together.  (We married in Dec 2021 via Utah online wedding, we were finally able to be together in Feb~Mar 2022 when the Philippines opened for visitors again.)

Sure, i wondered if the further unsolicited evidence would send us to the back of the line again, but oh well, what's done is done.  Maybe it helped, maybe it hurt, maybe it did nothing.  I guess we'll find out sooner or later.

Good luck to Feb 2022 filers.  I see Jan 2022 filers are finally getting processed, so maybe this post will be helpful to others getting closer.

I'll update when we know more.

Thanks for sharing this! I am in a couple of Facebook groups and saw someone got approved a day or two after uploading more "unsolicited evidence", not sure if that helped their case.

I also thought and have read that uploading more things could send you to the back of the line but at this point there is not a specific answer for that. I have been debating on uploading more "unsolicited evidence" from when I went back to visit my wife in December thinking it will slow my case even more so I have not done it.

I think us February filers from 2022 should be getting close to getting approved I have been seeing more cases from late January - early February getting approved. Hopefully we all hear something soon!

I honestly thought I'd be crossing the border by now. :(

What is your PD? Hang in there, Feb 2022 filers are up next! I know it's hard but this is why I always say don't expect anything before 12 months. Most cases take between 12 - 14 months and that's just the first step. You have to stay strong. :)

You’re not alone.  I’ve never been so down in my whole life.  I’m seeing all these approvals every day, some for people who filed after us and it’s seriously starting to get to me.  On Tuesday my case will be 12 months old.  I haven’t seen my husband in 8 months.  I’m usually a very upbeat and positive person but this process has broken me.  I saw a post on Reddit yesterday that worried me even more.  I don’t know how this person knows this or if it’s true but it seems logical.  The post said:

Immigration implemented a new pilot program in the Summer to get these cases processed faster. However, it only appears to have applied to cases filed after the program started, and has not grandfathered those who filed before the program was implemented. Which is why you see such huge differences in processing times for folks that filed in 2021 and early 2022, and those who filed in mid-2022 and after.

Priority date (your receipt date).

Ahh, of course. Thanks!

PD = Feb 4, 2022.

"Actively being reviewed" = June 17, 2022.

Now the timeline says, "Your case is taking longer than expected". It's been that way for about 2 weeks now.

Oh great -- just when you thought the world couldn't get more upside down. :(

I hear you - I broke down and visited my husband in December (after 8 months) , but only stayed for 10 days. I'm going to visit again (leaving Wednesday) but I'm terrified of the risk. I'm just wrought with anxiety and it's increasing everyday.

Hang in there.

Hey, you're 1 day before me!  Here we wait!

The good news for us both is that we've never been closer than we are, right now!

Making what ought to be a simple, straight forward process into a multi-agency endeavor that easily spans past a year is what government does best.  Things aren't upside down--they're right on track. 😉

I do know what you mean about government bureaucracy. It's TRUE. I suppose in the grand scheme of things, it will be worth the wait. Just hold a wee bit longer, aye?

That's the spirit!  A positive mental attitude is the difference between hope and despair.  And since we're now through the worst of it, hope is the completely reasonable thing for us to now have.

You're right on track with almost all of us here.  I'd bet that it is normal to wonder if somehow our own case was the exception, and that it got lost while everyone else is getting approved, but--at this point--the opposite appears to be true.  Anyone already approved is the exception, and we are the normal ones.

I believe that being "unexceptional" is actually the better camp to be in, while waiting for a benefit from the government.

I've also heard the story you quoted, but the fact is that it doesn't matter.  We all did the best we could under the circumstances at the time.

Worrying doesn't change it.  And since we did our best--and continue to--regret also doesn't belong to us.  Leave it for those that didn't ever try.

There are couples breaking up for far more whimsical matters than that of government leadership. *We are blessed!*  All of us here get the benefit of enduring the loss of our most valuable asset, *time*... in exchange for a more meaningful and intentioned life with our better-half, *who is also enduring it with us.*
