The civil documents you send will depend on the country your spouse is from and your particular situation.  The financial documents are IRS transcripts and W2s (they say for the last tax year but I'm sending 3 tax years, as recommended by many immigration attorneys).  Follow this matrix to get an idea of what needs to be submitted:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/the-immigrant-visa-process/step-1-submit-a-petition.html

This is super helpful - just click on each step in the matrix and it will give you all the information you need.

Awesome, I will take look thanks!

Note about my AOS, I am seeking to qualify with my VA benefits.  This is non-taxable income, and there are no W2s associated with it. As such, I submitted my DD-214, a VA verification of benefits letter, and over 24 of the most recent contiguous months of bank statements showing direct deposit.

My wife needed a few more days to gather documents because of the name change and having to go on a wild goose chase.

The Philippine government offices have been exactly as efficient as we have come to expect over the course of our journey.  You may make your on inferences.

So now we are waiting for DQ or RFE from NVC.

Good luck - I hope you get DQ'd quickly!  I'm over here stressing (once again) because I've only received the welcome email for my stepson's case and not my husband's - I don't know what's up with that but it's bringing on the same anxiety I had when waiting for USCIS to approve our case.  It's only been 5 days since both cases were sent to NVC but why would they send one email right away and not the other? 😬

I forgot to share this little tidbit I found today (this is for neurotic people like me who like to know every little detail of everything going on at either USCIS or NVC) - https://visawhen.com/nvc.  Enjoy! 🤣

Got approval notice overnight - took 373 days, so pretty much exactly in line with many others at Potomac!

Congrats, @gointransatlantic!

Sooooo I just received my NVC welcome email and I know it says "your case can take up to 3 days to be activated" but of course I tried [...] 😝

Congrats, @Ramirez65, and of course you did, so did I. 🤣  I had similar results, it was screwy the first 24 hours or so.

I just got back from seeing my husband (we got to spend our 20th anniversary together, yay)

Very nice, @Mern V!  I was also able to go to the Philippines late last year and able to celebrate our anniversary together.

@Ramirez65 well you clearly won the lion's share of the anxiety genes in the family:

Hello

Have you gotten the other welcome email yet? Or have you done any sort of contact with the NVC about it?

I am still waiting for mine.

Hi!

Unfortunately I have not received my husband’s welcome email yet.  I sent an email inquiry to NVC yesterday so I’m waiting to hear back.  It’s been 7 days since my cases were transferred to NVC.  I’ve seen others waiting longer than this but it’s so strange to me that both cases went at the same time but only one got a case created.  I’m trying not to freak out but after waiting 12-1/2 months to get approved I’m kind of over this whole process and would like to be done. When were you approved?

Oh wow! Sorry to hear that! It’s definitely strange that they would just send you one letter but maybe they process those differently? Who knows. I get how you’re feeling, at this point I also just want to continue and get this all completed. Hopefully you hear back soon, let’s keep updating on here. I was approved for the I-130 on the 7th, but the date approved actually shows the 8th.

I’m hoping I get that welcome email some time next week!

Yes it'll be helpful to keep each other updated!  Your approval date is the 8th but what is the date that your case was transferred to NVC - the same date?  If it's the 8th, you should be getting your letter next week.  I did submit everything to NVC for my stepson yesterday.  I didn't think it was that bad - I'm glad I didn't hire an attorney for this round because it was easy enough to do by myself.  Well, I shouldn't say that until I actually get DQ'd but I didn't think it was rocket science or anything.  NVC's technology is very old but other than that, it's pretty straightforward.

Of course! So on the case status tab on USCIS it says March 8th they approved my application and sent me a notice. When I open up the approval PDF it says my case was sent to NVC and that one is dated March 7th. Is the case status tab supposed to get updated when they send it over? It's good to hear that! I also have done all this by myself with patience and making sure all the details are filled... so far we are on a good track now we just have to receive that welcome email, hopefully soon!
