Hi, filed on February 16 and got the receipt notice and Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS on same day and given Nebraska.

Still says Case Is Being Actively Reviewed By USCIS today. How do you know you were moved to Potomac?

The most frustrating part of all of this is that everyone's timelines are all over the place. There doesn't seem to be an actual order, just sheer luck.

I've heard people getting approved 2-3 days after being Actively Reviewed and others waiting 5-7 months. Sadly, there is no way to know what will happen. I guess all we can do is try to distract ourselves with other things and be patient. :)

Haha. True. That wasn’t the spirit of my post, but thanks for the encouraging words. I was just trying to relay my timeline. 😁

My question to you was how did you know your case got transferred to Potomac? Chat with Emma?

Yup, I used the Emma Chat and asked to talk to an agent. I didn't get an email or any notification.

I think that’s a good idea! Not sure how many people we can gather but I’m down for it.

I saw that you might file the I-129F from your previous posts. We sent ours yesterday. Hopefully it helps. I'd be happy if it just shortened the processes a month or two.

We did.. Contrary to what most people say: To wait about 2 or 3 months after filing i130, we filed our i129f on Feb 6.. We had filed i130 online so had a NOA1 pretty much the next day. We used that and the form i129f to initiate K3.

I129f was "Received" Feb 9, but didn't change, not even to "actively reviewing"...

We got i129f officially denied on 25 April, the day NVC received our case from USCIS...

Thank you for the detailed explanation! We filed the i129f last week so hoping it helps a bit.

Hi! February 22, 2022 filer here in the I-130 category. When we applied for my husband’s Canadian PR, I was in a WhatsApp group for filers from our month. Is anyone interested in starting a February 2022 group for us I-130 filers? :)

Yes
