Hello everyone. I know that my husband will need vaccinations before immigrating here to the United States. He does not have any of those vaccines at the moment. My question is once he has his medical exam appointment will they give him the required vaccines while at the exam or does he need to get them before his exam?

They will provide at the exam, but most of the time at an extremely exagerated cost. They know they have you, and you have no choice, so they will take you for the Max amount of money possible. some include them in the cost of the exam, so check on that. More importantly it is better to get him started right away on the vaccinations as 2 of them are a 3 shot series that have to be done over a period of 7-8 months roughly. Not only will you be able to find a place to do them cheaper ( Red cross, travel clinic, google it), but you will be able to get them all completed possibly before the exam, then they mark everything complete.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

How would I find out if it is included in the medical exam cost in his country?

Check out this link.

You can contact the different clinics listed on this page to ask about costs and what is included.

What type of proof is required after vaccination [private clinic]? Will a receipt do, or a doctor letter?

Just about every country uses the red cross or something similar vaccination booklet. It shows date and type of vaccination, and the lot number, etc. Then you take the book to the medical exam and the doctor can see the records. Whoever does the vaccination will give you some sort of proof that it was done. If not, definitely ask.
