Yes I understand completely. But look at the positive side atleast it wasn't moved to Vermont. Positive thoughts.

Do we know how USCIS assigns a case to which service centre? Is there a set rule? e.g. if the sponsor lives in a New England state the case will be assigned to Vermont ?

Thank you.

Not based on petitioner's residence.  To us who are USCIS outsiders, the petition assignment to processing centers is effectively random.  The only exception is when the petitioner has a criminal background related to certain sex crimes.  Those petitions will be assigned to Vermont.  Note that Vermont also handles I-130s from petitioners with no criminal background.

Any more approvals for May filers? I starting to suspect the beneficiary's country plays a huge role. Seeing a lot of folks from EU getting exceptionally faster approval here and in some FB groups.

Ca you share any concrete examples where a person from EU have received a quick approval?

Does anyone suggest filing K3 with CR 1?

I absolutely do. I have tracked about 27 Vermont Service Center cases on VJ and Facebook, based on those results I was estimating that I would have been approved sometime from Thurs last week to end of Oct, and my estimates were spot on (just 4 business days after my spreadsheet said it would be approved.)

So 16 months processing time on USCIS for Vermont isn’t accurate huh.

No, for a couple reasons that I previously tried to outline here (it would be nice to sticky this post so folks understand, but I dunno how to flag to mods...):

I would say, if you didn't file for K3, you probably have 4-6 more months left (currently Vermont is processing Oct/Nov files), if you filed for K3, then its taking ~120-140 days after K3 filing to get approved (so technically it could be worth filing K3 still.)

Congrats, do you think K-3 helps regardless of the service center?

Thats a little more tricky. I wasn't looking closely at centers other than Vermont... It seems like Texas and Nebraska also maybe had some luck with K3, but Potomac and California didn't have as many reports (that I remember seeing...)

Thanks, I already filed K-3, I'm going to stay hopeful although my case is at Potomac
