:dance: Good luck, good luck, good luck!!!!! I can SO relate to the "so want to puke" feeling. That's exactly how I felt the day of Hicham's 601 waiver interview. I bet you have all these worst case scenarios running through your head. I know that I did. And I had just worked myself sick. But then it was like all at once it was over and his interview went fine.

At least this is progress and his case is moving forward. Inshallah everything will go smoothly and it's great that you will be there with him.

Wishing you the best!!!!!! :thumbs::yes:

Ok stop the presses, whoa nelly, hold up!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just read that someone in Morocco asked in an interview what high school, and other schools their wife attended?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Please tell me they don't get into THAT much detail in Cairo 'cause he might as well not even go. I mean the things we have down pat are the obvious:

wife's age

wife's birthday

step daughter's ages

step daughter's interests

how we met

when we got married

when i came there last

what i do for work

my parents' names

my ex husband's name

how long i've been divorced

why my marriage broke up

I mean considering he hasn't even met my parents or my exhusband some of this is hard enough as it is to remember for him, you know? I gave up having him tell me the kids like softball since baseball is easier for him to remember. (I guess they don't have softball over there or something)

I'm working on making him stop embellishing things...for example the other night I quizzed him:

me: "how old is your wife?"

him: "*sigh* if you were to look into her eyes and watch how she acts you would think she was in her 20's"

me: " sir, how old is your wife?"

him: " to me she is but a young angel"

me: "SIR, HOW OLD IS YOUR WIFE??????????"

him: "age does not matter to me"

me: "DENIED..........NEXT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

:wacko::wacko::wacko::wacko:

has anyone who has seen My Cousin Vinnie remember when the judge asked for a guilty or not-guilty plea when Vinnie first started to talk and he went on and on and on and on and the judge kept fuming???????????????????????? :whistle::lol::lol:

Don't worry Doodle we've got your back! :thumbs: Seems like the interviews are easier in Egypt than in Casa, but who knows; That's just speculation. By the way, your hubby's interview date is also my 30th birthday. I know how you feel about the interview, and my nerves are frayed as well. :wacko: I just can't wait until it's over! Driss just keeps telling me to have Iman (faith) and leave it to Allah because whatever happens is Al Qadr (destiny). All those possible scenarios dancing in one's mind is certainly fodder for a stomach-in-knots. I'll be posied and ready for a possible denial, by having a "rebuttal folder" handy, with letters to fax to my Senator, additional support papers, etc. I't's great that you're going to be there to support him. I think it helps them focus, and gives them more confidence. I'll be in Morocco with my fiance July 29-August 5 give or take a few days once my ticket is confirmed. I'll be praying for you and remembering you in my Dua. I can't wait to read your success story Doodle! (F)

Thanks! We can compare notes when we both get back!!! lol.

You know that IS a good idea for people to have a rebuttal folder ready. I do hear a lot of the bad ones just not listening anymore at a point and telling the person to leave but if you have all the senator numbers, etc. in a file you can easily just say, "ok well I have this *insert whatever evidence and formal note* ready to fax to Senators X, Y, and Z so could you point me to where your fax machine is?"

I'd love to see the look on the person's face if someone handed them THAT line!!!

I'm not THAT worried but stories like that just get me all frazzled. Our age diff is 7 years so it's not a bigtime biggie. I can't think of any other redflags really since he speaks English very well. If they give him a written test he's toast though. :P (As would I be if I had to write a lick of Arabic!!)

I can't believe I leave in 3 days. I have NOTHING packed. Everything I'm bringing I'm currently wearing and using so this is going to have to be a last minute deal. Plus I have a dr appt the morning I leave so I hope she doesn't keep me waiting too long!!! I will need that adavan BIGTIME that day!

How much money will he need at the interview and what is the money for? Is it just to pay for DHL to deliver his passport back to him?

OMG, that sounds exactly like my husband. He did the same thing. Except when I would ask questions like "When did you meet your wife?" He would say, "Well, I met her online on August 1st 2005 at 9:45 pm and 35 seconds. But, I met her in person on November 1, 2006 at 4am even though her flight was supposed to arrive at 1:30am." #######?

Not to mention he invited the consular officer to dinner with us the day of the petition interview. This was because they asked him what foods he liked to eat.

I could never get him to be serious during the practice interview. He was always saying something silly and off the subject. :lol: I totally understand.
