Translations for USCIS do not have to be notarized.  There is no benefit to notarizing translations for USCIS.

So they just trust the translated document whether it is translated correctly or not?

Presumably.

I assume they are not bringing their employee who speak languages that is translated.

My wife’s documents are in Burmese. The probability that anyone at USCIS working her case understands Burmese is under 1 percent.

If you produce a fake translation and years down the road this is caught and  it is determined to be a material misrepresentation, then the consequences are dire.  Not just for the beneficiary but any beneficiaries that beneficiary subsequently petitioned.

So while the odds are under 1 percent in my wife’s case, we can safely assume that in the history of granting immigration benefits to Burmese, some translations get were randomly audited  for fraud detection.

I am not saying that I would do fake translation but I just couldn't believe that they just take documents that they don't even understand to confirm it is correctly translated or not lol...

I dare say 99 percent of us do not use notarized translations and we or our beneficiaries have approved petitions.

There is no requirement from USCIS to use notarized translations.

The penalties, including a term in federal prison, are apparently adequate enough that USCIS doesn’t impose this cost on its clients.
