You don’t need anything from home affairs for that, at least that you won’t already have (birth certificate) if you’ve emigrated?

Surprising update today after 5 months I received my fathers military records from the SADF they appear to be in order and on the correct form, totally over the moon that I finally received the documents. Question for the forum does anyone know how to upload new documents to the CEAC while your previous documents are still pending review? I uploaded the letters of explanation and the application forms a few weeks ago and they are still awaiting review by NVC staff I cant seem to upload or change the documents at this time, do I need to wait until the last submission is reviewed first?

You upload them to "additional documents" on your father's page. 

You should be allowed to add documents while your app is pending review. I was able to do it a few weeks back. 

Then add a note when you upload.

Perfect that worked not sure why I was getting the errors yesterday, worked perfectly this morning.
