Hello everyone,

I am an F1 student inside the US and my USC spouse is filing the I-130 for me online, I had a question. The duration of authorized stay in my I-94 says 'D/S' but I can only enter a date in the online application, so what answer should I put down?

Thanks in advance!

Hand write D/S on the form. D/S= duration of status. Your authorized stay is tied to the duration of your status.

Is there an alternative to handwriting D/S when I am filing online?

Thank you

I don't know, I have never filed online. Are you talking about the I-130? If so, I was an F1 student and was in the exact same situation, but I just handwrote all my forms and mailed them. Old school hahahaha

You might find it easier to file all the forms together and send it in one envelope as opposed to filing the I-130/I-130A online and then sending in the I-485, I-131, I-864, and I-765 after you receive your NOA1.

The online filing system still has a few kinks so if you're struggling to complete a section...

Yeah I am following your path and filling the i-130 in physical form, makes it easier for me.

Thank you for your help!
