As Reikan suggested, calling helps. I called USCIS this morning to ask for an update. I was told that my interview was waived in July. Of course that wasn’t reflected on the online account.

Did they give any other useful information? I read somewhere that it seems like NBC is waiving a lot of interviews right now but that the final decision is in the hands of your FO.

No they didn’t. I asked about the EAD, and they they said I should get it before March, which is not very helpful.

Hello, I was wondering what the status is of your EAD and your I-485 in your USCIS account.

My EAD is showing (since July 11th): fingerprints were taken.

Our I-485 shows another office has jurisdiction (which we can only see in the notice we got by mail that this is NBC)

I tried to get through the chatbot Emma today to ask about my EAD but wasn't successful.

It still shows that the case is actively under review. The receipt we got also shows that the case is at NBC. Call USCIS and say that you lost the receipt number or that you never received a receipt number. These two options always will get you to a live person.

I called and got this news too. The person said that interview waivers aren't shown on the account, so mine will keep listing as in review, and she said they can't estimate if it will be between now or next  May.  She did say that despite my 765 saying "in review" and my 131 only saying "received", the 131 is also ready to be adjuticated and so we might get a combo card.

I called today too. Interestingly, the person I spoke with said that they are able to provide a better estimate vs the estimated processing tool on the USCIS side, and shared that they estimated another 4-5 months for my I-485. I don't know if this was because my case is currently in NBC, but he did mention that I wasn't able to pull that up myself for that reason.

Anyway, my EAD is estimated to take up until Nov 2023, so really hoping my I-485 will come through in 4-5 months. I tried asking about interview waivers, but he quoted some kind of script saying it was at the discretion of the immigration officer to decide. He couldn't tell me if mine was waived, so I am guessing not. He also told me that there wasn't an update on my case since the biometrics, but did say that someone looked at it last month - but no change except for the recent transfer from Nebraska to NBC

Nothing that shifts the needle majorly, however, I think I'll stop checking my case on the USCIS website daily and move to weekly checks :-)

Yes. I will keep calling every now and then. Not to jinx things, but the information specialists that I have spoken with so far are really collaborative. I asked if my case will be transferred to a field office now that the interview has been waived, she said not necessarily. It might stay at NBC

Thank  you for all the updates :)

Agree, I found the information specialist very forthcoming and friendly. Fingers crossed for all here!

Sent fax with job offer to USCIS but it's been almost 3 weeks and no answer.  Should I upload the job offer on my USCIS account under the I765 form case?

Thanks

Hi, I know no one reacted here, maybe post this in one as a separate thread with a little bit more context, to get better traction?

What are folks saying to the IVR to get to a person for an update? Half the time it gets mad at me and kicks me back to the beginning.

"Lost case number" is how I got through!
