Hello, I’m also in similar situation. It’s been 7 weeks since SAVE case reached to DHS. Did you receive your ssn finally? If yes, how much time does it take to change status in SAVE case check site?

Yes I received my ssn after waiting for 2 months. You can go to same SSN office where you have submitted application and ask them status of your application. Also keep calling SSN office for status every 2 days. They are very helpful.

It took almost 2 months since my second application to approve. I have re-applied with same documents as first. Seems like initialy my local ssa office screwed-up the application or DHS wrongly rejected. No clear reason was given. Keep checking your save status. Once its moved from in progress to case returned to agency, usually after 6 weeks, you should get your card in 7 to 10 days. This was my experience

Thanks for your response, it’s been 2 months exactly from today. I’m continuously following up with DHS and SSA office and they are kept telling me to wait as now SAVE verify can take upto 40 federal working days. I’m aiming for next week!

Thanks, I’m frequently checking status and talking with SSA and DHS representatives. Status says it’s still under review, it’s been 2 months. Hope to receive soon.

I’ve got my ssn card 2 days ago and it’s been 70 days since I applied first time. Just a heads up - Once your SAVE case status says its returned to agency then you can contact SSA office to get your ssn printout from your nearest office.

Hello, I got the similar situation with you. I got pending verification from DHS because save showed that I am a US Citizen. I have been waiting for 7 weeks since the first application. I literally don’t know what to do.

Hi could you tell me how did you know that save showed you're a citizen? It this kind of information provided on the status check page?

Thank you
