Need a help. I'm Ukrainian, non-resident, living on the occupied territory. How can I get a police certificate now? I do not have access to the government website where I could get it online and I also do not have ID signiture for this. I sent emails to the several Translation Agencies which provided such service before the war but they said they did not do this now. I'm stressed I do not know what to do now! I will need it for my K1 visa interview soon.

Has the embassy specifically asked for a police certificate?

If you look at travel.state.gov, it is one of the documents they require. And the Frankfurt Embassy says Ukrainians can get it through the online government service. But I do not have access to that service

Yeah been there. Done that.  lots of air miles flown to get police certificates the embassy didn’t want.

What matters is what the embassy asks for.   Not what some website says.

First of all, I’m sorry to hear about what you’re going through, especially being on occupied territory.

Second, @millefleur, perhaps we can put this in the RUB subforum? Seems highly specific to our jurisdiction :)

Lastly: I know there is some online service through which you can request police certificates now. This used to be a huge stressor for Ukrainians going to Frankfurt, I don’t know if Frankfurt ever clarified if they needed the PC, but I do know it should be possible to obtain now. Do you not have access to the website because the internet’s blocked? What city are you in?

I know about this service but I can't use it because I do not have ID signiture for it. I'm from Crimea, for Ukraine, I'm Ukrainian but non resident. Before the war I could get it going to Ukraine or using Translation Agencies which provided this sevice. Now they do not.

I assume you would get a Russian one or is this for a prior residency

travel.state.gov says ": Police certificates from Crimea issued by the Russian Government are not acceptable for visa purposes. Applicant must provide the standard Ukrainian police certificate issued on the territory controlled by the Ukrainian Government.  "

What a waste of time, what purpose is a blank form

I would contact the Consulate you are dealing with, for a while no Certificates were available and they were waiving the requirement

One of the Ukrainians posted the requiements of Consulate in Frankfurt  " 8.Police certificate(s) original or electronic version (as of April 23, 2022 it is possible to request an electronic version here: https://vytiah.mvs.gov.ua/app/landing), listing all names ever used, including maiden and married names. You will need one for each country where you have lived for 6 months or more while 16 years old or older. Originals only. Include court and police records if ever arrested, detained or convicted of a crime (even if expunged) as well as translations. Police Certificates from Ukraine should be “FULL” («ПОВНА»), not “SHORT” («СКОРОЧЕНА»).  " But on the top of the list was " Please bring all the items listed below where applicable. One set of documents is required for each applicant. All documents not in English, Ukrainian, or Russian need a certified translation into English.

We understand that Ukrainian applicants may not be able to obtain some civil documents, police certificates or international passports. The officer has discretion to waive some of these documents at the time of your visa interview.   " I do not know if it could be referred to the police certificate too.

Seems like there has to be a way for it to be waived in this situation.

I hope so! I just can't it anyway. It is not because I do not want/try to get it. I just can't get it here now.
