Is that a problem? If the government in certain states will insist upon being involved in the private sex and health lives of women and their families, those people can decide to live in locations that welcome them, their freedom to make their own decisions, and money they will contribute.

Isn't that already the case?  There is a reason people move to Florida, or Texas.  If states want to enact abortion on demand laws, I expect women will go there to have their abortions, and they may even decide to stay, but I doubt access to abortion is the only factor that people use when deciding where to live.

It  is not a problem, inevitable so seems it all is a complete waste of effort.

Regardless of your view on abortion this is a serious breach of the court and the judicial process and the leaker should be punished severely to set an example for anyone who might leak in the future.

What will be very interesting is after this, if SCOTUS comes back and does not overturn Roe, will all the pearl clutching stop?  My understanding when reading the history of Roe is it was supposed to end the debate, they kind of failed at that.

If it is not this it will be something else, there is the ongoing and effectively unresolvable debate been State and Feds as to where the line is

 

We see it all the time for example with Immigration and amnesty states, and as here will be argued differently depending on the cause

I think it and several other related factors that will crop up if this is indeed the ruling will become major factors in deciding where women and their families will live.

Hopefully they emigrate before they mail in their ballots.

I'm pretty opposed overturning decades of judicial precedent, and it does leave me concerned what might befall Obergefell v. Hodges, US v. Windsor, Lawrence v. Texas and Griswold v. Connecticut. If SCOTUS tells us one day that the Constitution gives us a right, and then another day tells us that it doesn't, then it's hardly a right. Like what else could be up for grabs in terms of getting struck down?

Hell, I was massively opposed to the Citizens United ruling, but I believe that resolving that would be via a Constitutional Amendment rather than reversing judicial precedent.

 

Regarding the abortion issue, as a gay dude, it's not my business to tell women what they can/cannot do with their bodies.

The question is whether it is a State or Federal issue

This is just a ruling on which entities decide

 

If you are going to have States decide local issues then this seems an obvious one, obviously there are arguments for and against State control but when I see people arguing depending on the issue then i raise my eyes
