Generally speaking, how long is the ROC process from sending application to approval based on your experiences?

Each case is diferent, a cousin of mine sent his case on april 2020 and still waiting, they ask him this year on january for more evidence, he sent all evidence on february 28, 2022 and case was updated on march 10, 2022 as evidence received, and nothing after that. He live in Florida. 

 

my personal situation, i sent my roc package on april 27, 2021, case updated as fingerprints taken on june 28, 2021; nothing after that, so i have a year waiting, Potomac

service center.

as my window opened for citizenship this year base on 3 years rule married to a usc, i applied for citizenship on april 27. 
i live in Indiana.

The standard is 12-18 months.  I’ve read they are doing a push to get processing times down. At least there are fewer interviews now.  Too soon to know if turnaround time has improved.

First off, not everyone applies for ROC. Only people that get a two year, conditional GC do (people that have been married less than two years at the time of approval).

 

You apply for ROC 90 days prior to the expiration date on your GC. For example, mine expired 04.30.2022. Therefore, my window for applying opened on 01.30.2022. If you apply too early it will get denied.

 

Also, the processing times for ROC vary greatly depending on the service center and the field office.
