Visa Approved! 🎉🎊 Lima, Peru 🇵🇪
They asked me these questions:
1. What is your fiancé's name?
2. When was he born?
3. Where was he born?
4. When we met and how?
5. When was the last time we saw each other?
6. What is his job?
That’s all 🙂

60 days since our approval on May 5th (or sixth, the website and approval notice say two different things).......and we got our NVC email today! I could not believe it when I saw the email!

The National Visa Center (NVC) received your fiancé (e)’s/spouse’s approved I-129F petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). NVC will now forward the petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in Helsinki, Finland. Please note that the transfer process can take several weeks. The U.S. Embassy or Consulate will contact your fiancé (e)/spouse when they are ready to process his or her petition.

Next steps:

Go to our website http://nvc.state.gov/k1 to learn how to apply for a K visa and prepare for the visa interview.

I am a little confused about one thing though: the tracking online says "Your case is in transit to the Consular Section. Your interview date was provided to you by the National Visa Center". We haven't gotten an interview date from the NVC....is this because we haven't filled out the DS-160 yet? Now that we finally have our case number we are trying to fill out the DS-160 tomorrow.

Mine says the same thing, I believe we are to disregard that verbiage, NVC's portion of the process is done for K1 once they send your case. Your consulate/embassy will communicate next steps.

Ignore that. NVC won’t issue your interview date. Your embassy will have further instructions regarding your interview process

Finally have a NVC case id number, and even better, got an approved expedite from NVC to embassy as of 28-June-2022!

I submitted an inquiry both to my local embassy in Bahrain and NVC on 21-June-2022 to obtain case id number in order to request an expediate from NVC to my local embassy based on a pending job offer in US that needs me to start as soon as I can. On 27-June-2022 NVC responded from 'NVC expedite' email on info they needed to make an expedite request(found out here they didn't need NVC case id number to make the request). I made the expedite request from NVC to embassy on 27-June-2022 per their instructions. I heard back from NVC on 28-June-2022 and they provided NVC case id number and a notice that they were reaching out to my local embassy on whether the embassy would approve the expedite. Minutes later also on 28-June-2022, I received an email from my local embassy that they had received an email from NVC for expedite request. My embassy said they would accept the expedite request and informed me to wait until they get the physical file from NVC for further instructions.

As of right now case is 'At NVC' but hope to see 'IN TRANSIT' based upon the expedite request and approval soon!

how did you get in touch with nvc - uscis did not update the address for the applicant on our case when we submitted it a year ago - so i am assuming our welcome letter went to an invalid address. which is an error on USCIS part but they are saying we have to contact nvc and we cant without a case number which is in the welcome letter we did not get

You can contact NVC with your USCIS number through their Public Inquiry Form at https://nvc.state.gov/inquiry though the response time is about 2 months.

The expedite e-mail is:  NVCExpedite@state.gov

Our NOA2 was May 12 and we haven't heard anything either.

It took exactly 60 days for my approval. I will say: I contacted my local senator and explained to their office what was going on and that I didn't have a case number yet. They said they would look into it and a week later, I got the email. I am not sure if they are related (I haven't been able to contact his office to see) but I will just throw that out there as an option.

It's provided above. My case went 'In Transit' on 30-June, so just waiting on my embassy now as it has been closed the last few days due to the Eid Muslim holiday. We've drafted our I-134 with all requisite evidence along with the DS-160 with assistance of my immigration attorney.
