I contacted USCIS and placed a service request to send our case to NVC. They initially replied to the service request saying that they sent the case to NVC and asked to wait 30 business days. That turned out to be false. We waited 30 business days, then placed another service request. This time they replied that the case was NOT sent due to shipping delays and didn't specify when it will be sent. I recommend you placing a service request to send your case to NVC and at the same time request to talk to a tier 2 agent.

Placing service requests didn't resolve our issue, but it may work for you. I'm waiting for a tier 2 callback. When you request to speak to a tier 2 agent, they put you in queue for a callback from tier 2 support that has more information and options related to what they can do on your case. The tier 2 callback may take 30 days, so if you are going to request one, you should do it now to save time.

Any update yet?

Finally got our interview date booked! Does anyone know if tax transcripts will suffice for interview? I don't want to send my fiancé the entire tax return packet as that's a lot of printing...wondering if tax transcript has everything the officer needs or if I should send specific W2 as well. Just want to make 100% sure so we don't have any delays! Thanks :)

Congratulations!! You will need tax transcripts, W2, most recent bank statements and most recent pay checks. They might not ask for everything but just have them in case. Good luck

Leaning on some knowledge here.

My case was approved on August 3rd but has still not been sent to the embassy in India.
Does anyone have possible reasons this may happen other than just a slow NVC?

I’ve seen another case approved on August 18 get sent to UAE so I know they are processing cases.
One thought maybe that the embassy in Mumbai is slow or backed up due to holidays in India.

To my knowledge. The NVC only sends cases when the embassy asks for them. In the case of backlog, an embassy wouldn’t request for the cases to be sent.

Hello All, is anyone aware if we need the NOA2 notice of the 129f approval?

The Usps seems to have lost the document and to get another copy is 465$. It would appear that document doesn’t have any necessary information on it as long as the case does progress to the NVC and embassy.

will we need it when we go for the interview or anywhere else?

Hey did you guys ever find any K1 visa groups from Peru? I am currently here with my fiancé waiting on our visa to be approved! Thanks

So far we did not, the very little couples that were here and on the same process never replied. But if you have any questions you can ask them here, I maybe can answer and they all are very helpful.

  • 3 weeks later...

My fiance has their interview next week at the embassy in Ankara, Turkey (excited!!). On the embassy notification we received this week it notes to bring this document

"Letter of Intent to Marry within 90 Days from Petitioner (Original)"

It is worded confusingly (as is with any government related info :D).

Do they want the original that we sent to USCIS? Because we don't have that anymore.

I assume their "original" means they want a non-photocopied signature...

Also does the Letter of Intent have to be from last year or should it be re-written and the dates set to this year?

Does anyone have experience on what they have done for this when they or their fiance went to the interview??
