Still waiting for physical green card

My CR1 was approved at the beginning of November 2021 and I entered the US later that month (paid the fees) for a week before returning to the UK to complete my work contract. I then entered the US permanently at the beginning of April and now it's May and almost 6 months later I am still waiting for the physical green card to arrive? Is it normal to take this long?

Thanks

Sometimes cards don't get sent if the immigrant leaves the US shortly after arriving...

Although, I have read even if you do not leave the US it can take up to a year to receive the card.

Where can you check the status of your card?

Two places you can check your status:

https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov

Use the receipt number you got after paying the immigrant fee.

Same place you checked status for I-130. go to case status use receipt # for card (Not your I-130 receipt #). See what's up.

Hi my son entered the US and left right after to finish his last year of school. Fee was paid one day after initial entry. We waited 221 days for the card to arrive. I made a service request and some day the card was in production.

How did you make a service request?
