I get along with my inlaws fine nowadays. My FIL is great and my MIL's ummm well OK. I've had troubles with the MIL in the past (my hubby's her favorite child and she was somewhat over protective at first) but I've learned to avoid certain topics and talking to her in general when she's in "one of her moods". MIL's mother (=hubby's grandma) was convinced I was only marrying him to get a green card and she didn't even come to the wedding. Oh well...

Well, I'm in a similar situation.... my husband is the only boy of the family and he is very close to his family (too close), his parents are cool people but I don't like the fact that he wants to visit them all the time, first he visits them when he comes home from work (before he comes to our house) and then he wants to visit them for "tea" around 10.30 pm when I'm super tired (I have to go to bed early 'cause I have to be at my job at 6.30am). He gets upset because I don't want to go there so often, I think that twice a week is fine but every day???? no way!!!!! :hehe:
