I think the new Ministry of Truth (a.k.a. The Disinformation Governance Board) needs it's own thread.  Not really sure why the Biden Administration is doubling down on this, but hey, Obama told us to not underestimate the ability of Joe to mess things up.

The Biden administration’s creation of its new Disinformation Governance Board has been equated to the “Ministry of Truth” in George Orwell’s novel 1984.

 

But during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union” Sunday, Mayorkas sought to reassure Americans about the board’s mission.

 

Host Dana Bash asked, “Can you clarify what exactly is this? What exactly will this Disinformation Governance Board do? Will it monitor American citizens?”

Jankowicz then testified that NPR should get more government money because, “local NPR and PBS stations are some of the only local journalism that is trustworthy that exists.”

Homeland Security's "Disinformation Board" is Even More Pernicious Than it Seems

 

This scam is the critical context for understanding why the Biden Administration casually announced last week the creation of what it is calling a "Disinformation Board” inside the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). There is no conceivable circumstance in which a domestic law enforcement agency like DHS should be claiming the power to decree truth and falsity. Operatives in the U.S. Security State are not devoted to combatting disinformation. The opposite is true: they are trained, career liars tasked with concocting and spreading disinformation. Hmm, so there are things that last a shorter time than CNN+.  Now the question is are they really walking it back, or just sending it into the shadows.

 

Homeland Security puts its "Disinformation Governance Board" on ice

 

Nina Jankowicz, who was tapped by Biden to lead the board last month, will resign, Axios confirmed.

 

She drafted a resignation letter to leave the board after hearing it will be dissolved, CNN reports.

 

Mayorkas previously told the Washington Post that the agency "could have done a better job of communicating what it is and what it isn’t."
