Just wanted to share the good news that my mom had her interview on 4th Jan and her visa was approved on spot Alhamdulilah. IR5 is pretty straight forward category but i was also well prepared because it took forever, I didnt want to leave any stone unturned. I had uploaded on CEAC portal my most recent W2 and tax transcript from 2022 only. Also uploaded employment verification and updated signed i-864 form. No pay stubs or anything else. She took copies of that to the interview but wasnt asked to show. They only asked to show her original birth certificate, my original birth certificate and original FRC. Thats it.

Very simple questions asked.

Who is calling you?

Where does your daughter live in US?

When was the last time you saw your daughter?

Was there another country you lived in other than Pakistan. (In my my moms case, yes, she lived few years in Dubai in the 90s).

That was it. She had to get her pics retaken over there at the embassy because she wears hijab and in the 2×2 she got done, her ears were not showing so they took photos there themselves for Rs 500. Other then that everything was smooth.

Best of luck to everyone else!

Hello Members,

My DQ is Nov 23 2022- What do you guys think would be the time when I can expect my IL? An estimate would be great so I can start working accordingly to collect the necessary documents in due time.

If your category is IR1 then you may expect to receive the IL around 7 to 8 months from now. ISL embassy has covered April 2022 DQs last month. So theres that.

monday is a holdsy most likely no interview letters until end of week or end of month

Isn't it too late to send letters next week anyway? We might have to wait for February. Why wouldn't they send IR1 letters this month though? Aren't citizens priority?

Congratulations on receiving the interview letter and regarding 2023 tax it's not a problem as long as you have w-2 for it. I had the same issue when my wife interview was coming but the IO didn't even looked at the papers although I didn't updated any thing online too except the 3 previous years tax documents and I gave her 2022 tax return to take by hand but IO didn't look at the papers so you are good just let your wife know to take every thing incase he asks for them. All the best
