Yeah there is a new ambassador to pakistan. Can we send him letters or send our Congress letters to speed up the processing for pakistan? India has caught all the way up and is almost current now but it’s almost a 2 year wait for Islamabad. Guys if we don’t voice our opinion nothing will change.

I'm sorry to be so negative but there is no way to get their attention or contact them to get anything other than a generalized templated email. Senators only respond to help requests in humanitarian cases, filling out those forms will not do anything. There is no way to send any letters to the ambassador. Petitions are not going to do anything either. They are not even responding to genuine expedite requests. There is no way to protest and let's face it, when has a protest in Pakistan ever accomplished anything? If they wanted to fix things after COVID, they would have by now, like embassies in other countries.

Unless you can somehow get the US President himself to take note of the situation and call them up, nothing is going to happen.

If you've been waiting for more than a year after getting documentarily qualified, then file a mandamus lawsuit against them. That is literally the only way to get their attention and get a response. If I do not get a response by February, I am filing a lawsuit and I highly suggest anyone in the same situation to do the same.

So I heard back from my Senator in which she said Islamabad emabssy can't expedite this request basically the same rhetoric answer they give and apologies that they can't do any thing else in this regard 😒

Told you so. They are ignoring every good reason expedite. Not congresssman or senators can even help out  the only other option is to move to another country while wait out the visa with your spouse or sue nvc after waiting 16 months. I think if each and everyone is starts doing that then hopefully it’ll pick up for others that are latter documented qualified.

Omg!! Does that mean we're no longer confined to our embassy????? @Kuchiki

Yes, we are no longer confined to ISB consulate. So applicants can contact different consulates to see if they can schedule their interviews. However, this option was only available previously to those who have dual nationality or residency permit in country other than their home country. I am not sure if the new update still requires the applicants to have residency permit in foreign country in order to request a change in consulate. More research is required on that.

I have read in few fb posts as well but I think the residency requirements still apply here
