1. I have a new born son who got us citizenship through consulate Pakistan . Since I fill up da-260 for my wife before his birth do I need to add my new born us citizen child in ds-260.

2. I have provided fnaancial afidfavit of support in 2022 . Do we have to update or bring new updated affidavit Todd support during the interview or old will work

please see if your can help on above 2 questions

1. I dont think so because your son has nothing to do with your wifes case. Your son already has his US passport, your wife can inform the embassy about your son during her interview and that will help your case a little bit too.

2. You have to bring updated AOS on interview but im not sure if you have to upload to CEAC before interview, im also confused on this question.

Wow i have never heard of that but i know terms of AOS only the joint sponsor must prove that they have a job and if they have a job than this proves domicile. I never heard about US citizens needing to prove domicile to sponsor their spouse or family member to come to USA. @pushbrk@Chancycan you guys confirm this?

I’d never heard of it either, but then it happened with me. My joint sponsor’s AOS & domicile was approved but my domicile was rejected so that took me another 3 months to re-establish, resubmit and get approved. But in my case i hadnt maintained any bank accounts in the last 7 years either. I only had my mailing address, drivers license, passport, taxes and US visits. I re-established by making bank accounts, renting a place, and getting a job. I couldnt even find any information regarding this when i was filing it the first time so i hope this helps anyone in a similar  situation

I can confirm the petitioner must show either US domicile or their clear intent to re-establish US Domicile.  Lots of discussion about it but the real source is the I-864 instructions.  Seems it's time to become an A-Student of that document.

She doesnt need to prove domicile she already has a US passport and she already has a joint sponsor for her AOS, so she doesnt need domicile at all.

All sponsors need to have US domicile.  As the petitioner, @howmuchlonger! is the primary sponsor, so she definitely needs to have evidence of US domicile.  I agree with the suggestion of @Lazybones18 -- stay in Pakistan while waiting for IL, then go back to the US and get a job before her husband's visa interview.

Yes.  The DS-260 asks if the beneficiary has children, so the answer should be "Yes" in your wife's case.  It would be a lie to keep the answer as "No" at the time of the interview.  So make sure to add your child's info.  For the question about whether the child will be migrating to the US with the beneficiary, answer "No".  US citizens do not migrate to the US, they just relocate back home.

Hi! Thanks for replying :) i do have a joint sponsor already, and am currently working, but if i move back then i’d have to leave that job. But considering i have the joint sponsor then it shouldnt be an issue right? And i plan on coming back a month before my husbands interview so that i can set up a place for us. I did that recently thinking we would get the IL within a month of being DQ’d as thats what their website said, and then later stumbled upon this page after waiting for months. So i dont really see a point in me living alone and so far away from him for an indefinite period of time. First they ask us to prove how real our relationship is and then put us through this torture of being away from one another. Sorry for the rant, im just honestly fed up and this forum really has provided me with a lot of my questions no one could seem to answer. Its comforting to know im not alone in this boat

Trust me, we know exactly how you feel. Imagine being pregnant alone and working full time to sponsor husband.  I'm losing it here lol.

bring any updated documents to the counsel just in case they ask for it. And bring the old one to they might ask for the news or not. But better to be prepared for it. keep the new stuff in the separate packet. But she can ask the counselor if they want the updated documents or not. I wish your wife the best of luck
