poodina have you tried talking with a lawyer about suing nvc to get your interview because 15 months is still waiting a long time and long overdue for yours. Or at lesser push congress to help you expedite your case. 15 months is a long time waiting  or at least apply for a visit visa that’s what I am planning to do. For my wife

Thanks for your suggestions already did every single step no use 😠 except applying for K3 Visa , we will see about this option. Good luck for your next step.🙏🏽

No Our lawyer didn't sue NVC he wants us to wait.so we have no choice 🤞

with the way Islamabad embassy is going with the pace you guys will expect your interview in 2024 instead of 2023. So that’s why. Unless they speed of their interview but still might be early 2024 for you guys.

Assalamualaikum. I'm new here. Reading all your comments is sad as all of you waiting from such a long time for IL after DQ. My visa category is IR1 and DQ date is 20 Nov, 2022. Can anyone give some idea about expected date for interview letter. I hope ISL embassy catch some speed. Wish you all best of luck..

you should expect sometimes in 2024 for an interview letter right now they are doing april 2021 dq and taking approximately almost 20-24 months for an interview letter at us Islamabad.

I have been looking into transferring the case to another country but it just feels like we're stuck because Pakistan passport is so weak it's so hard to get a long-term visa  unless I guess you have alot of money or work in a certain field  It's like we can't transfer case, the embassy doesn't approve expedites, no congressman can help, the embassy also rarely approves visiting USA on visit visa... I don't get it all.

I was hoping to apply for visit visa for my wife you think it will get declined? Was hoping we have more of a chance since we waited that long Even though we are waiting almost 12 months for an interview letter for ir1?

Go for it! Some people are lucky and get it approved! Just make sure she has proof of strong ties to Pakistan (some sort of job, round ticket) so they know she won't overstay her visit visa... It is just luck like other things (if you get expedite approved).

Question: What sort of vaccine proof is needed for a medical exam in Islamabad? My mom had her COVID shots, but she doesn't have any documentation to prove it.
