I don't think it will affect it. I know it won't speed it up, but you're right that it will show proof of a visit :P Congratulations!

Thanks, I'll laugh if they send rfe re the visit

Definite proof "someone" visited!!

Happened to a friend of mine. DNA didn't match 2 years later!

:girlwerewolf2xn: you've insulted my woman's honor. i guess it could happen to anyone

No not just anyone!

Most guys would be a bit more careful when it "comes" to knocking their fiance up in a foreign country.

What will happen to the pinay and anak if you should go belly up or the petition is denied.

I imagine you have made plans for helping with the care and upbringing of the future child in the Philippines.

i meant not being the father could happen to anyone, i suppose

as for the other, stuff happens, even though i tried to be careful and now i'm thinking happier thoughts than my impending demise :)

It happens more often than people think. A lot of women on the Philippines who are engaged to US fiances have secret boyfriends at home.

I know of one case where the US fiance rented an apartment for his fiancee and she had her secret boyfriend living there with her. She is now married and she's telling her friends that she is going to divorce him as soon as she gets her 2-year green card. I guess he doesn't talk to her friends much. :help:

I know somebody who had her K-1 interview while she was 6 mos preggy, and she was approved.

:innocent: Does anyone have knowledge about how a pregancy during our visit together will affect our pending k1? We're waiting for an NOA2 and she'll probably be 6 months by the time she has her interview. Thanks Virgillionaire

Being pregnant won't affect the K-1 but, as another poster said, it will affect her ability to fly. Good luck with your petition

To all who are preggers:

I've learned from my senator's office that a petition can be expedited if extenuating circumstances can be proven (letter from doctor). Such as inadequate medical care, or a health issue.

I was venting about the process via email to my Senator and they offered to check on my case They received a reply from USCIS requesting doctor's note showing reason to expedite. It's no longer necessary in my case, but it may be helpful to know for others in the future that it's available.

Conventional wisdom was that no consideration is given for pregnancy.

Wow really!!! My fiance has a child already and her first pregnancy had difficulties...I think she is considered a high risk pregnancy..She has something called Preeclapsia...Do you think if I get a letter stating that she should be here sooner in order not to travel later into the pregnancy it would work?? I could also add that her insurance is not as good as mine.

PREECLAMPSIA is a high risk pregnancy but ECLAMPSIA is more of a worry because of the seizure and may cause higher morbidity/mortality to both the mother and the fetus. You can try to work that for a reason. But I think if there's a hospital or OB-GYN that is capable of taking care of Pre-eclamptic patients in your Country, that would be hard to prove that she will need a better medical/health care in the US? Not sure, though, you will need a written medical certification from her OB-Gyn that they are not properly equipped (facilities and staff) to handle her case. Also, most airlines will not allow pregnant patients who are 6 months AOG and up to travel... Good luck! There's no harm in trying.
