Is anyone aware if U4U parolees are able to extend their parole? What is the process for this? I imagine those who came in or around April of 2022, that their 2 year paroles are almost up. How can they stay here longer?

I plan to sponsor my wife & daughter via U4U.  My income is very close so I plan to have a cosponsor.  We can either each file separately, me/wife , cosponsor/child.  Or, both cosponsor each.  I'm sure this is preferred.

My confusion (difficult to word it).  If we both sponsor my wife, we have to include the child as a dependent.  So, they will review income for sponsoring 2 people.  Then, we file the separate 134 for the child.  For this, they review income for only 1.

I'm unsure how they avoid counting the child twice for income requirements?  Once with her mother as dependent, other on her own?

I'm certain this is a non-issue, I just hope to confirm it.  THANK YOU !!!!

Hello All I know this is a regular question, but how long is the current processing time for I-134As? An recent intel? The last post about it was in September and replied it took the poster one month.

BTW I applied for the same mother daughter beneficiaries in June 2022 and it tool 2 days. They decided ot stay in Europe for various reasons, so I applied yesterday for them- again. I do not think this will be an issue (I hope) that they were approved but did not come....any thoughts?

Sorry I don't have current info on processing time.

Form my understanding, the previous application will not affect the process for the new one. They would just have to currently meet the eligibility.

Thank you for your reply. I will post the progress of this application. BTW I totally goofed an entry on the i 134 and I think I need to re-file it. For some reason I added the beneficiary's name as the "Supporter".  How I did this- who knows, but I will refile it today because I don't think it can be corrected on the original application.

As we get closer to the 2 year mark, has there been any updates for the U4U to be extended? Recently my step daughter got engaged to her boyfriend that is on U4U, but she is not a US Citizen and they want a long engagement so his possible over stay will not be forgiven.

I just want to make sure I didn't miss any important updates.  BTW he entered the USA in Sept 2023, so we hopefully will have time.

Long engagement? Not compatible with her situation.

To add, this is the 2nd time the wife (Ukrainian citizen) is applying for the U4U program. She was previously admitted 1.5 years ago but had to return home 3 months later.

I am not aware of any specified timeline, however this should be a case where your Congress Rep can help.

How long does it usually take for Travel Group members to receive travel authorization? Travel group leader received his Travel authorization 2 weeks ago. Still waiting on the wife's Travel authorization. These never took longer than 5 days. I contacted USCIS and they weren't much help. Just told me to wait. At least 30 days.

The Travel group member who is still waiting on her authorization is a Ukrainian citizen and already had a USCIS account. When she tried to add a case via a receipt number it said it was already linked to a uscis account. So that's why I added her as a Travel group member and we completed her attestation that way.

Why would this case be stuck at CBP while the travel group leader was approved so quickly? I wonder if this is because she had previously traveled to USA under U4U.

Anybody been given travel authorization a second time after leaving USA?

I'm thinking our travel authorization is delayed because this individual left USA back to Ukraine while on Parole without receiving prior travel authorization. 😢

Probably which is why you need to get someone to give them a kick.
