10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

This might be a dumb question, but...

How did you guys fill in the number or dependents when filing I-134A for multiple people at the same time?

For example, household size is 2, sponsoring family of 3:

A.  For 1st person, household is 2 + 1.  For 2nd and 3rd, the same (2 +1).

B. For 1st person, household is 2+1.  For 2nd, household is 3+1.  For 3rd, household is 4+1.

A or B?

It would be 5.

The form requires you to list persons already sponsored and then add the new beneficiary.

I guess I can input the combinations of the 2 remaining family members as being already sponsored, when in reality they are not until the I-134A's are approved.

EDIT:  My concern with the above is that it may provide contradictory information, that I want ot sponsor someone new when on the next I-134A  I state that I already sponsored them.

However you phase it the last one is going to be 5, you need to show $40k or so anyway so why mess with it?

I applied with I-134a forms husband and wife. Husband is the main person, added the wife to him as a travel companion after the confirmation. I uploaded attestations for approval on travel authorization.

Wife got it INSTANTLY after I clicked submit on April 19th. Husband says still pending since April 19th. Contacted USCIS and no help. Anyone had this issue? How long did you wait for Travel Authorization?

Any help would be great. Thank you.

For anyone who has had U4U beneficiaries return to Ukraine after their time in the USA and who have worked in USA while here.....

Seems there might be a requirement to obtain sailing papers before leaving USA to return to Ukraine

From: https://www.irs.gov/individuals/international-taxpayers/departing-alien-clearance-sailing-permit

Before leaving the United States, all aliens (except those listed below under Aliens Not Required To Obtain Sailing or Departure Permits) must obtain a certificate of compliance. This document, also popularly known as the sailing permit or departure permit, must be secured from the IRS before leaving the U.S. You will receive a sailing or departure permit after filing a Form 1040-C, U.S. Departing Alien Income Tax Return or Form 2063, U.S. Departing Alien Income Tax Statement and Annual Certificate of Compliance.

I am assuming this would apply to U4U beneficiaries as well.  Anyone familiar with that process and/or if it applies to U4U beneficiaries?
